Our Story

How it all started...

In 1804, a circuit riding preacher and evangelist along with a local group of men planted Antioch Baptist Church.  It started out a small congregation of 22 persons in its fellowship, "meeting in brush arbors and later in a one-room building made of logs and rough hewn boards.  But, it was known by the people of the community that those members, involved in doing the Lord's work, had a mind to work.  God came first in their lives.  These devoted Christians loved the Lord so much that they were willing to work unceasingly and sacrifice meager earnings to establish this church.  This devotion to Christ and unceasing sacrifice to serve Him and His church continued throughout the years.
Today as we look back in church history we are thankful for what God started over 200 years ago.  We stand in awe of where He has brought us in recent years and we are excited and of anticipation knowing that God Still Wants To Do Great Things right here at Antioch!

Expanding the vision...

God wants to give you a greater vision of who He is and the plans He has for you.  Satan's goal is to use guilt, insecurity and fears to keep us from growing and living a full, joyful, abundant life.  You can tap into the power of God's vision for your life through the worship, support, and ministry of the Antioch Church family!

Where we are headed...

At Antioch we desire to be a church of families with a common unity built around the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the mission of sharing this message to our community and around the world; where people gather to hear Biblically sound expositional and topical preaching with immediate life application; in a friendly atmosphere that is welcoming and accepting people where they are in their journey of life and seeing them discipled and grow to be more like Christ.  We worship with a well blended style and flavor using traditional hymns and choirs, classic hymns of the faith in a modern acoustic guitar style, modern praise songs and choruses, all while accompanied by the piano, stringed instruments, brass, woodwind, keyboard, etc...  We desire to continually connect with God and one another through Bible study fellowships and experiencing life together; with engaging ministry to children, teens, young adults, and families in a safe and secure environment.
